Following the warm reception of the 'Suisei' in 2010, Kiso delivered the 80-pax one-car Ro-Pax ferry 'Yugejima' for operations to Yuge Island at the end of that year. Owned by the City of Kamijima, the ferry commenced services between the island of Innoshima, which is connected to mainland Honshu, and Yuge Island, which has no other access except by water. Passenger volumes consist mainly of local residents and tourists, however, in times of emergency, the ferry is also capable of response vehicle transport, such as ambulances or smaller fire trucks.
