This transmitter was developed with an open source firmware using feature recommendations from the RC community and online forums. The result is a versatile system that can be programmed to meet the requirements of many types of fliers. Since the firmware is open source, a person with appropriate programming skills can make changes to it to suit his or her needs, and load it into the transmitter through the AVR ISP interface. There are currently three officially approved versions of the firmware available.
