On Thursday and Friday, April 17 and 18, the Northwest Ohio chapter hosted Dr. Zena Werb, professor and vice chair of the Department of Anatomy at the University of California in San Francisco, at the main campus of The University of Toledo. Dr. Werb is an internationally recognized scientist, a member of the Institute of Medicine of the National Academy of Sciences, and a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. Her research has contributed greatly to our understanding of normal breast development and the development of breast cancer.
