One Volunteer's Vision

When Elizabeth S. Ivey (Betty) took the helm as President of the AWIS National Board in 2004, she had a vision and a platform that included raising funds for an endowment. As we prepare to celebrate our 40th Anniversary, Betty's singular vision has become a reality. The AWIS Legacy Fund -- honoring the lifetime achievements of pioneering women by investing in the future of women's leadership in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) — was officially launched in 2008.
