Reports emerge that an IED, using TNT as its main charge, had been found at North Korea's modernised Kalma Airport on 6 October and was designed to assassinate Kim Jong Un, who had been due to visit the airport the following day (photo is of his visit to Kalma in June 2015). The visit was cancelled. The discovery of the IED, inside the roof of the airport's information desk, was reported to have been made by North Korea's State Security Department. There is, understandably, huge speculation as to the authenticity of the report.
