MC-130P Leaves Mildenhall

The US Air Force's 352nd Special Operations Group/67th Special Operations Squadron 'Night Owls' MC-130P Combat Shadow 66-0215 has made the unit's final operational training sortie with this variant from RAF Mildenhall, Suffolk. Using the appropriate callsign 'Shadow 67' the aircraft made a final farewell circuit around the country on January 24, encompassing all the aircraft's former bases and other locations of significance to the unit. On February 3, the aircraft departed back to the USA, ending a long-standing relationship with the UK. The type is being replaced at Mildenhall with new MC-130J Commando Ms, four of which have so far been delivered to the 67th SOS.
