Martin Mars Comes Out of Retirement

Two years after retirement, the mighty Martin Mars water bomber, C-FLYL, owned by Coulson Flying Tankers was brought back into service to fight forest fires in the province of British Columbia (BC), Canada. Owing to hot weather, extremely dry forests, several simultaneous large wildfires and public pressure, the BC Government awarded Coulson a 30-day contract, which was extended by ten days.
