The Royal Air Force Museum Cosford has enjoyed an upsurge in visitor numbers in recent years, a change in fortunes mainly attributed to the opening of the National Cold War Exhibition in 2007 which has seen overall attendance at the Shropshire attraction double. Between April 1 and September 30, 2014 the museum saw 184,506 visitors pass through its doors - a 20% increase on the same period the previous year - with similar growth expected to be recorded in the six months that followed.
