Emirates Flight Training Academy Selects Aircraft

Emirates Flight Training Academy ordered five Embraer Phenom 100E executive jets, with options on five more, and 22 Cirrus SR22s. The academy will be based at Al Maktoum International Airport, Dubai in a purpose-built facility. Cadets will learn basic commercial piloting skills on the Cirrus SR22 before advancing to the Phenom 100E on which they will obtain their twin-engine jet rating, their Commercial Pilot Licence on a multi-engine aircraft with Instrument Rating and frozen Airline Transport Pilot's Licence. Deliveries of both the Phenom and SR22 are scheduled to begin in 2017.
