Making Waves

GUERNSEY-BASED START-UP Waves has successfully completed its maiden flight. The on-demand air taxi provider operated its first service - to the neighbouring island of Jersey - on October 11 as part of what it describes as a 'friends and family' soft launch. This, the carrier added, is to test each stage of its operation from booking and boarding through to flying and disembarking. Passengers flying with Waves can book seats via a dedicated Uber-style app.
