Rebuild of The Shuttleworth Collection Spitfire Mk V AR501 (G-AWll) is progressing at a pace, with the aircraft performing its first engine runs on April 18. The fighter last flew in 2005, and has been subject to an almost complete strip down and reassembly at its Old Warden, Bedfordshire base. With the exception of rivets and a few areas of skin, the aircraft has largely been put back together with the original parts.
