The 787-10, the third member of the Dreamliner family, rolled out of Boeing's North Charleston facility in South Carolina on February 17. Thousands of employees celebrated alongside US President Donald Trump and the state's governor, Republican Henry McMaster. The new airliner is the longest of the type's family and has an 18ft (5.5m) longer fuselage than the 787-9. Boeing claims it will have 10% better fuel efficiency and emissions than comparable aircraft. The prototype 787-10 was being prepared for its first flight as these words were written. Delivery of the 787-10 to airlines is due to begin next year. There are already 149 orders on the books from nine customers across the globe.
