Spitfire Celebrates Laguna's Legacy

The Historic Aviation Collection (HAC) rolled out Spitfire Vb, BM597, in the colours of an aircraft flown by 303 Sqn pilot Piotr Laguna on November 11. As well as being Armistice Day, the date is also Polish Independence Day and would have been the 115th birthday of Laguna, who died when he was shot down over France on June 27, 1941. The Laguna's Spitfire Legacy group is working with HAC to restore Laguna's Spitfire lIb, P8331, which was allocated the registration G-KOSC by the CAA in April 2020.
