Foxhound to the Fore

Known as the Foxhound by NATO, the MiG-31 can fly at impressive speed, has a powerful radar and is armed with long-legged air-to-air missiles (AAMs). There is also an upgrade for the type, tailored for long-range strike against land and sea targets with hypersonic missiles fitted with both conventional and nuclear warheads, while another version - still in development - is intended for use as a launch platform for anti-satellite missiles.
