Texas' Lone Star Flight Museum reopened its doors on September 16 after moving-and having many of its aircraft flown-from its original home near Galveston to a larger, ostensibly more secure location near Houston. The Lone Star Flight Museum, which also houses the Texas Aviation Hall of Fame, opened in l990 at Scholes International Airport in Galveston. After being flooded by Hurricane Ike in 2008, the museum announced plans in 2011 to move 50 miles farther inland, to Houston. The final move came, ironically, amid the horrific flooding the area suffered from Hurricane Harvey.
