Safety is often taken for granted and because of this attitude in the United States, OSHA was created to protect the worker from their employer! As fire officers, it is imperative that we do everything in our power to ensure that those assigned under us, are aware of the importance of safety. The northern hemisphere is experiencing winter as I write this. This means ARFF vehicles backing into fire stations with snow accumulating in the wheel wells.
