US Airways Names Isom To Head Airline Operations

US Airways last week appointed former Northwest executive Robert Isom as the carrier's new chief operating officer, and also made two other senior appointments. Isom's position of executive VP and COO is a newly created one, reporting to President Scott Kirby. The airline said he will be responsible for all aspects of operations, including flight ops, inflight services, maintenance and engineering, airport customer service, reservations, cargo and the Express unit. According to an SEC filing, Isom's base salary will be $400,000, and he receives a signing bonus of $120,000.
