Cisco has added two new telepresence systems to its range. The CTS 500 is a 'personal' telepresence system with a 37in (94 cm) display targeted at medium-sized businesses, while its CTS 3200 provides immersive telepresence for 12-18 people. The new systems are being marketed in addition to the existing Cisco Telepresence System 1000 and 3000 end points. The CTS 500 integrates a 37in display, camera, a microphone array, speakers and specially-designed lighting in a system that can be placed on a desk, mounted on the wall or stand on a pedestal in a private office. It can also be used as a second monitor in a personal office or as a digital sign through integration with the Cisco Digital Media System video technology for digital signage and desktop video streaming.
