Stadium morphs into giant screen for 12th Arab Games in Doha

The Khalifa Stadium in Doha was transformed into a huge screen for the opening ceremony of the 12th Arab Games. Conceived by event production agency David Atkins Enterprises, it saw ETC use a range of Christie Roadster projectors. Two towers were put up above the stands opposite the display area to cover the whole of the stadium and the ground was covered in white geotextile, making a giant screen measuring 136x72m. In groups of three, 42 Roadster HD 18Ks on one tower and 36 Roadster S+2OKs on the other produced the 3D projections, while another eight Christie Roadster S+2OKs (four in each tower) were aimed at the central stage constructed beside the stands.
