Fiat builds dual-clutch capacity

Fiat Powertrain Technologies will put its first dual-clutch transmission (DCT) into production in late 2009. The six-speed is rated to 350Nm.rnLike VW's latest system, the unit will use a dry clutch. It is part of the forthcoming C635 family and will be fitted in front-and all-wheel drive B-, C-and D-segment vehicles with transverse engines.
