Jaguar XKR-S

The all-aluminium Jaguar XK has been around since 2005. It's aged well - low weight has always been one of its best attributes, and the displacement and ratings of its V8s have steadily increased. The supercharged R version is a match for the high-performance variants from BMW's M and Daimler's AMG brands. But Jaguar wanted to go further and compete with models such the Porsche 911 Turbo and Aston Martin V12 Vanquish. Steering the powertrain's target setting was a study of customers' driving patterns commissioned for base engine development of the 2010 model year XK.
