Dick Glover

There are far more automotive engineers working on low-carbon diesel hatchbacks than on carbon-fibre supercars but many would love to have the latter on their CV. Dick Glover is one of the few who has - as McLaren Automotive's technical director he was responsible for the MP4-12C, a twin-turbo V8 capable of 0-100km/h in 3.1 seconds and a top speed of 330km/h. That's quite an achievement, especially considering that it's only the first model from a range the firm will produce. Now director of research, Glover is looking into what those other models will be - he says that it's been quite a transition.
