Car-to-X field trial hits the roads

The field trial phase of the Sim TD Car-to-X project has started, The 120 vehicles involved will test 20 advanced driver-assistance systems on public roads to evaluate how car-to-car and car-to-infrastructure systems work in real-life conditions. Creating a networked, intelligent road transport system will reduce accident rates and congestion. This is the third and final phase of the 48-month project which involves OEMs, Tier Ones and universities and which is part-funded by the German government.
