Active noise control keeps vehicle cabin quieter

Mitsubishi Electric is introducing a noise-reducing system that cancels out predictable road sounds. The firm has developed an advanced active noise control (ANC) system called FLEXConnect. ANC minimises engine and road noise within the vehicle cabin. The system joins Mitsubishi Electric's existing Ethernet-enabled architectures, FLEXConnect.RSE and FLEXCONNECT.IVI, and allows OEMs to reduce cost by removing heavy, noise-dampening materials. In addition, multiple functions can be performed without the need for as many hardware components compared to typical systems available -resulting in less energy spent on tuning and calibrating.
