Development: Honda Clarity

Reducing carbon emissions has become a huge task for the automotive industry, one that is driving massive investment in powertrain technologies. Whether it is ever more complex combustion engines, greater levels of electrification or, for some at least, the development of systems completely removed from fossil fuels. For many years, firms have been developing hydrogen fuel-cell vehicles, but they have always remained a distant dream - until now. OEMs includingToyota and Hyundai-Kia have reached a point where their fuel-cell vehicles are entering series production, and now Honda is joining them.
