Laser-formed titanium parts certified for aerospace

Three parts made by laser-forming near net shape technology have met aircraft performance requirements, reports Aeromet Corp., Eden Prairie, Minn. The parts include brackets for the Lockheed-Martin F-22, a wing root lug for the Boeing F/A-18 E/F wing splice plate, and a Northrop drop link for the F/A-18 E/F.
