摘要

The most stringent norms have been established for α-emitting radionuclides entering the human body with food and water [1]. For radiation monitoring of objects in the environment, the best method is the relative method of α-radiome-try of thick-layer preparations [2]. In this method, the α-radiometry results obtained for the sample and a control preparation with known specific activity are compared with one another. The material of the control preparation and the energy of the α particles which it emits can differ from those of αpreparations on which a radiometry is performed. Consequently, the α-radiometry coefficient defined as the ratio of the count rate from to the specific a activity of the preparation cannot be used to determine the specific α activity of other radionuclides in preparations consisting of α different material from the results of their a radiometry.
