摘要

Satheesh et al. (2006) (hereafter S06) used ground-based radiometer and aerosol optical depth (AOD) measurements made during November 2004-February 2005 in Bangalore, India (13°N, 77°E), to quantify surface changes in irradiance due to aerosols. Large differences were found to exist between the measured value (126 W m~(-2)) and a radiative model of estimated changes in surface irradiance. It was concluded that there was a good match between observations and model estimates when internally mixed aerosols were considered.
