Occam announces new high-density GbE FTTP blade featuring highest port density in its class

Occam Networks Inc., a broadband access supplier, announced the addition of the high-capacity Gigabit Ethernet BLC 6316 to its BLC 6000 multiservice access platform. Offering the industry's highest port density in the most compact footprint, service providers can serve up to 576 Ethernet FTTP customers from a 12 rack unit platform. Commercial availability is expected in Q1 2010 as part of the Occam OS 7.0 system release. Occam announced the availability of this new solution at its Fifth Annual Occam Networks Users' Group (ONUG) Conference, held August 31 - September 3 at the Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort in Austin, Texas.
