A two-phase fluid loop (TPFL), which enables removal of a large amount of heat and long-distance heat transportation utilizing latent heat of the pumped working fluid, is expected to be an essential thermal control system for the future spacecraft and orbital infrastructure. Two-Phase Fluid Loop experiment (TPFLEX) on Space shuttle (STS-85) was conducted in Order to demonstrate the operational principle, DP (= vapor pressure in the evaporator minus liquid Pressure in the evaporator) > 0, of TPFL under micro-gravity.
