Country Report: Indonesia

Indonesia's is made up of 18, 108 islands around the equator, of which 6,000 are inhabited. Half of the population lives in Java, while Sumatra, Borneo (shared with Brunei and Malaysia), Sulawesi and New Guinea. Indonesia may be rich in natural resources, but is has been marred by poor leadership and has thus been troubled with economic, social, economical problems, including terrorism, corruption and poverty. Significant to world energy markets, Indonesia is an OPEC member and a substantial producer of oil and the world's largest exporter of liquefied natural gas.
