ADJ: What does a modern air force require in today's environment and how does training support this? Archie: An air force requires three things to enable it to deliver its operational requirements successfully, these are: an effective weapons system, which is everything from the airframe to the weapons to all the systems and technology which goes with it; information superiority to ensure operators and command have accurate and secure information delivered quickly to where it is needed to aid decision making; and a team of capable operators including air crew and ground crew with the skills to deliver a competitive edge required in today's environment.
