Adm Edouard Guillaud

Born on July 10, 1953, in Paris, Adm Edouard Guillaud entered the French Naval Academy in 1973, after attending two years of preparatory classes at Ecole Sainte Genevieve in Versailles. He is also a graduate of the French Naval War College and has the nuclear officer certification. He was the commanding officer of several ships including the minesweeper Lobelia (1979-1980), the light transport ship Dumont d'Urville (1987-1988) homeported in Papeete and Noumea, the escort frigate Enseigne de Vaisseau Henry (1992-1993) based in Brest and finally CVN Charles de Gaulle (1999-2001) for which he conducted the trials and operational qualifications.
