3G: a service looking for a market

摘要

3G has a fundamental problem: this is not a service created in response to market demand. There clearly is a need for wireless information services and end-to-end applications. We live in an information-centric economy and mobility continues to rise, but that is not the raison d'etre for 3G cellular, it's a by-product.
