摘要

In the morning meeting on December 12, 2014, Mr. Zainuddin Ahmad, the Chief Operating Officer of Bintan Bank was deliberating with the members of his team in the Retail Banking Department about the difficulties the Bank was facing in evolving a sound and relevant framework in benchmarking the efficiency of the retail branch network of the Bank while setting targets for business for individual branches. He has asked Ms. Liza, Ms. Wan, Ms. Aznah and Mr. Joseph in the Economic Research Department of the Bank to participate in the discussion. He shared with his team that the CEO of Bintan Bank has advised him to invite researchers from the Banking and Risk Management Department of the School of Economics, Finance and Banking of the University Utara Malaysia (UUM) to assist Bintan Bank in this exercise and the team from the university has been invited to discuss the problem at hand with the bank team headed by their COO Mr. Zainuddin on January 15, 2015.
