InterDigital to supply 2G/3G dual mode modem to China-based mobile chipset entrant

InterDigital Communications, the affiliate of cellular technology service provider InterDigital, has signed a contract for providing its Slim-Chip 2G and 3G modem solutions to a China-based new mobile phone company. Under the terms of this non-exclusive deal, InterDigital would provide its 2G/3G modem technology, including HSPA. It would also ensure compliance with UMTS 3GPP Release 6 standard. The company has agreed to get target-based payments for its services and would depend upon the sales of its solutions.
