European operators Societe Europeenne des Satellites (SES)/ Astra, Eutelsat, Europe ~*Star and Eurasiasat are to varying degrees reaching out to markets in Southeast Asia and the Indian subcontinent In this article, David Falkus, Correspondent of Asia-Pacific Satellite, investigates how these four operators are acting in the market. In recent months, Europe has begun to move eastward! However, there is no need for you to worry about the European tectonic plate clashing with the Asian plateau, as this phenomenon is limited to satellite communications and bears no relevance whatsoever to geology.
