A new era of mobile satellite communications has started as Telespazio and M2Sat Ltd have signed an agreement for the introduction of the world's first broadband mobile satcom services. The M2Sat services offer communication speeds of up to 384kbit/s, supporting the latest multimedia and Internet Protocol (IP) applications via Eutelsat satellites from portable terminals.
