Or do we accept more benign high-purity short-chain C6 PFAS foam alternatives (C6s), achieving reliable, fast-acting, fuel-shedding, vapour-sealing extinguishment, without perpetuating that C8 legacy? Avoiding unintentional compromises to original system design objectives is key to protecting lives, critical infrastructure and communities from harm when making such pivotal decisions.
