Global TFT LCD Manufacturers Set Sights on Enhancing Production Capacities

Manufacturers of thin-film transistor (TFT) LCDs in Japan and throughout the world are stepping up efforts to raise production capacities. Using production technologies by Japanese makers, Taiwanese companies are entering the TFT LCD market sectors for notebook computers. Meanwhile, Japanese and Korean makers are concentrating on the production of large, fine-definition products with wide viewing angles for computer monitors and TVs.
