DVCPRO-ATM Transmission System

摘要

In the rapicly advancing digital broadcasting era of both numerous channels and HD, it is necessary to offer a new network system that is capable of transporting numerous high- quality program materials between studios and distant broadcasting stations. To meet this requirement, we have developed and confirmed the effectiveness of the first ATM network interface unit that can transmit studio-quality HD signals in real time and bi-directionally with low delay, utilizing common 155 Mbps ATM infrastructure links.
