Information Technology Evolution Forms Backdrop for CEATEC

With support from three industry organizations, the Combined Exhibition of Advanced Technologies (CEATEC) will open Oct. 2 and run through Oct. 6 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan. The show subtitle is "Providing Image, Information and Communications." Sponsors include the Communications Industry Association of Japan (CIAJ), the Japan Electronics and Information Technology Industries Association (JEITA), and the Japan Personal Computer Software Association (JPSA). All told, the CEATEC Japan organizing committee expects the event to attract 700 exhibiting companies, and 170,000 visitors.
