Murata's Monolithic Capacitors Suit on Interposer Substrates

Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd. has started the mass production of monolithic ceramic capacitors on interposer substrates, a kind of printed circuit board made to match the size of monolithic ceramic capacitor. This is the first time that a monolithic ceramic capacitor has been installed on an interposer substrate as a countermeasure for squealing, which is a phenomenon whereby mechanical vibration occurs when a voltage is applied to a ceramic material.
