摘要

Touch panels for automotive applications also undergo consistent technological innovations. These advancements include improvements of optical characteristics, operability, and environmental resistance. In terms of mechanism, the shift from the conventional resistive to capacitive method has been underway. The development of touch panels equipped with a force feedback function, which contributes to improved safety of drivers, also advances. Recently, some manufacturers have embarked on the development of curved capacitive touch panels for automotive application in anticipation of future needs. Product and technology developments are generally directed toward improving safety and comfort of drivers and passengers.
