Tivoli gains IBM's ADSM storage software

IBM has moved control of its Adstar Distributed Storage Manager (ADSM) archiving software from its Storage Systems Division to Tivoli Systems. The transfer gives Tivoli the responsibility to develop, support and sell ADSM. In addition, the announcement allows IS professionals to integrate storage management into their Tivoli enterprise solutions. ADSM archives data on servers as well as connected clients. ADSM also provides storage management and disaster recovery planning capabilities.
