In this two CD set of German radio broadcasts, Stokowski showcases his affinities fornboth 20* century music and the great Russian romantics, with a bit of Wagner thrownnin for good measure. These performances seem to he radio recordings, although the notesndo refer to "deafening accolades" for the Milhaud concerto and applause for the appear-nance of Werner Egk after the performance of his piece. There is, however, no audiencennoise nor is there any applause during or after these performances.
