摘要

The veterans' movement has a huge depth and breadth of field that would be impossible to cover in a number of volumes, let alone an issue of our journal. Veterans have always supported their military service personnel counterparts (though not necessarily the particular war in which their nation-state is engaged). That is not going to change in the foreseeable future. It is my personal opinion that the health of our military is reflected in the health of our veterans' community—one supports the other. Hopefully, our readership will find the articles in this issue not only enjoyable and informative but also engaging enough to stimulate their interest in new research, particularly that which assesses the new generation of veterans that is now returning home.
