Mannock Strickland (1683-1744): Agent to English convents in Flanders

The letters, account books and papers of the Catholic counsellor-at-law Mannock John Strickland (1683-1744) are believed to be part of the only complete set of an English lawyer's papers of any period known to have survived. Presented here with full notes, they will be of use to scholars interested in post-Reformation Catholicism and the exiled English religious orders, while also appealing to those working more broadly in economic, political and legal history.
