"Cities. Architecture and Society" - this was the theme of this year's Venice Architecture Biennale. However the idea of connecting the concepts of architecture and society in a current definition of the city is contradicted by the reality. The exhibition is broken up into a sociological and an artistic part that only rarely engage in a symbiosis.%„Cities. Architecture and Society" - so lautet das Thema der diesjährigen Architekturbiennale. Die Idee einer idealen Verknüpfung von Architektur und Gesellschaft im aktuellen Stadtbegriff wird jedoch von der Realität widerlegt: Die Ausstellung zerfällt klar in einen soziologischen und einen künstlerischen Teil, die nur selten eine Symbiose eingehen.
