摘要

Alongside providing accommodation communication is one of the most fundamental purposes of building. Here one can in clude evervthing that serves the gathering together and ex-change of ideas between people. Communication produces cohesion, hence this theme is also at the core of architecture's social function. We are interested in how this exchange of information, which ultimately shapes society and there-rnfore also creates identity, is handled today. The many different levels involved here are, as representatives, intended to depict a number of building's most important social functions.%Neben der Behausung ist die Kommunikation eine der ursprünglichsten Zwecke des Bauens. Man kann darin alles zusammenfassen, das der Versammlung und dem Austausch der Menschen dient. Kommunikation erzeugt Zusammenhalt, daher ist das Thema auch der Kern der sozialen Funktion von Architektur. Technisch gesehen ist Kommunikation der Austausch von Information.
